Adipose Derived Stem Cell Therapy

Another type of stem cell therapy uses stem cells from your own body. The two main sources are bone marrow and adipose (=fat) tissue. At Integrative Medical, we use adipose derived stem cell therapy for two reasons: Studies have shown that stem cell counts in bone marrow go down markedly in the second half of our lives, and harvesting stem cells from bone marrow requires drilling into the pelvic bone, which can be very painful.
Adipose stem cell therapy has several advantages:
- Minimally Invasive
To harvest adipose stem cells, only a small puncture at the belly is made and fat tissue is harvested under local anesthesia. Adipose stem cells are prepared for transplantation and injected right away. Drilling a hole in your pelvic bone – as with bone marrow stem cell therapy – is not necessary, and there is no risk of general anesthesia. The procedure is very safe and patients can leave our clinic immediately afterwards. - High Cell Counts
The unique technology used at Integrative Medical yields outstandingly high cell counts and cell viability. With our protocol, many more living stem cells can be harvested, compared to other techniques. This makes our stem cell therapy an excellent option for a wide range of concerns, potentially helpful even in advanced stages. - Only Your Own Cells Used
Adipose stem cell technique is also called autologous stem cell technique. That means, only stem cells from your own fat tissue are used. We do not use any steroids or other medications during the procedure, thus being able to provide a very natural, pure and exceptionally well tolerated procedure. - Very Versatile
Thanks to our unique protocols, we are able to use adipose stem cells for a wide range of problems and in combination with other methods of regenerative medicine.
